Thoroughbred racing season is here, and we are just few days away from knowing if Big Brown will will the Triple Crown this year. Big Brown has been favored to win The Belmont Stakes on June 7, but he has just been recently diagnosed with a small crack in his left front hoof, which all those associated with him say is a minor crack, and should not be an issue by the time the Belmont rolls around.
Big Brown has run the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness with very comfortable leads this year, and this young horse has a very good chance of winning all three races. The celebrations in thoroughbred racing circles will be high if he does win. This horse is a magnificent animal, and we're all hoping he walks away with the Triple Crown this summer, making him the first winner in 30 years. Big Brown had a light work out today, and according to the press, he did fine. He has just one chance to win the Triple Crown in thoroughbred racing, so let's hope he pulls it off. |
