I was watching a special last night about how thoroughbred racing is one of the top favorite sports of the royal family in Dubai and they hold huge racing events at select horse racing tracks all around that small country. It is mostly the men of the royal family that are involved and most of the thoroughbred racing horses are owned by the members of that same family so they are in deep competition with each other. The narrator went on to say that most of the time the high prince of the royal family owns the thoroughbred racing horse that wins the event but occasionally there is an upset and one of the other horses wins and the horse racing results have a different ending report. I found it very interesting that so much money, time and attention is paid to thoroughbred racing in this small area. These are very wealthy people that seem to find the sport of thoroughbred racing very exciting and competitive. It does not seem to matter that the owners of most of these horses are relatives and the winning monies all circulate through the same royal hands.
