I have always enjoyed going to the horse racing tracks to watch thoroughbred racing. I love horses and so it is fun to be there to watch these beautiful, well cared for animals race. I am not a gambler though so I do not actually gamble but I do make educated guesses with my friends as to what horses will place where. Sadly I am wrong as many times as I am right. My little grandson loves to go to and play the guessing game at the horse racing tracks too. I am a people watcher as well so I get a kick out of watching the reactions on peoples faces when the horse racing results are posted. It's amusing how excited they are when they win some money as well as how upset some of them get when they lose. Of course the more money involved, the bigger the reaction. Some years ago we actually bought a retired standard bred harness racing horse. I can't remember her registered name but her short name was Candy. She was the most beautiful horse I'd ever seen. You could walk under her and she wouldn't even flinch. We were trying to get her accustomed to a saddle so our kids could ride her but it just didn't work out. She was simply way to much horse for us so we had to return her. We bought a little black and white paint quarter horse filly instead.
